This program focuses on the cultivation of meditative concentration and full awareness in daily activities.  Following the Buddha’s teachings on the Four Foundation of Mindfulness, there will be teachings about our mental afflictions and how they form, the various types of meditation, and how to practice them. This program includes guided sitting meditation and walking meditation. Many thanks to our patrons for supporting our educational programs, these meditation courses are free to everyone!

Experience level:

This program is appropriate for both newcomers as well as experienced practitioners.

The venerable is currently the superintendent of Hsi Fang Temple and the president of San Diego Buddhist Association.
Ms. Angélica Barrera-Ng completed a three-year master degree program in Buddhist Chaplaincy at the University of the West, in California.  She has a professional background in public health—graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Health Science from CalState Fullerton in 2009.
